FIELD: sports training devices. SUBSTANCE: device has a braking mechanism and a forward/reverse mechanism mounted on one shaft. The braking mechanism has a braking drum and two arms with weights. The arms are set on one shaft with the braking drum at different angles. A brake band wrapping around the drum is secured on a lever pulling the band. The end of the lever is joined with a spring, and a flexible tie joins it with another lever for releasing the band in the forward stroke mode. A half-coupling and spring connect the drum and half- coupling of the forward/reverse mechanism to the braking drum. One end of the reverse spring is secured in the mechanism cantilever end, and the other end is joined with a rope. The rope passes through a roller, then wraps around the forward/reverse drum, passes through a hole provided in the arm that is joined with the brake band tension lever by means of a flexible tie, passes over a pulley , and it is fastened on sides of a balancing unit. One end of another rope is attached to a side-piece of a telescopic pillar, and the other end attached to a handle passes over a pulley of the balancing unit used as a compound pulley and a pulley secured on the telescopic pillar. Alternatively, the rope passes over the balancing unit pulley and both its ends are attached to handles. EFFECT: higher training effectiveness. |
