摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a vibrating gyro by which angular velocity components around two axes are detected simultaneously, in which the shape of a vibrator is simplified, in which the number of components can be reduced, whose assembling process is simplified and whose manufacturing and assembling accuracy can be enhanced by a constitution wherein the vibrator is formed on a cross-shaped vibrating elastic body provided with two orthogonal axes. CONSTITUTION: A vibrator is formed in such a way that piezoelectric elements 2 are installed on surfaces at four arm parts and on respective side faces of the four arm parts at a metal vibrating elastic body 1 whose plane is cross-shaped. The elements 2 have a function in which an applied electric signal is converted into a mechanical displacement and a function in which an expansion and contraction displacement and a strain on a face on which the elastic body 1 has been pasted are converted into an electric signal, and the signal is input to a circuit through every electrode 3 printed on the surface. A phase-shift amplifier circuit 4 uses a signal VOUT from an element 2 as an input, it outputs a signal VZIN to the three other elements 3 on the same plane, and it performs a self-oscillation. A mode in which the vibrator 1 is self-oscillated is set to a mode in which two opposite arms along the X-axis of the vibrator 1 are bent and deformed in the negative direction of the z-axis when two opposite arms along the y-axis are bent and deformed to a square in the z-axis.
