<p>PURPOSE: To control an optional peripheral circuit by integrating a microcomputer part and a gate array part, which can has logic constituted selectively, on a single chip and providing a microcomputer part with a specific control terminal. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer part consisting of a CPU part 4, a RAM 2, a ROM 3, an input/output port 5, and an internal bus 6 and the gate array part 7 which can has desired logic selectively constituted, are integrated on a silicon substrate 1 consisting of a single chip. The microcomputer part has the control terminal for outputting a control signal controlling the timing in which the gate array part 7 receives data from the microcomputer part. The timing in which the gate array part 7 receives the data from the microcomputer part can be controlled by the microcomputer part as a user desires, and the microcomputer part as a core can control an optional peripheral circuit.</p> |
