<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the power consumption of a reception station not in the transmission state in the case of transmission of a still image. CONSTITUTION: When a reception station 2 detects a ringer (call tone) from a public line 3, it is discriminated that still image data are received, and when the reception is discriminated, image reception and expansion processing is conducted. When the reception is not discriminated, an MPU of a main control section 22 is set to the standby state and a power supply 29 of a VRAM 26 is deenergized. When a ringer detection interrupt is generated under the discrimination of non-reception, the standby state is released and a SW 30 is closed to apply the power 29 to the device.</p> |
