PURPOSE: To provide a thin type and excellent appearance luminaire, and also specify the volume of a shade covering a circular fluorescent lamp adequately. CONSTITUTION: An annular recessed portion 16 is provided in a luminaire 11 having a circular appearance. A circular fluorescent lamp 1 in which the outside diameter of a tube is 25.5mm or less and power consumption is 40W to 65W is interposed in the recessed portion 16. A shade 29 which has an opening surface 31 and whose volume as far as the opening surface 31 is 23000cm<3> or less is mounted on the luminaire 11. By interposing the circular fluorescent lamp 1 in the recessed portion 16 of the luminaire 11, the same can be formed into a thin type as a whole in a shade 29-mounted state so as to improve the appearance thereof. By setting the volume of the shade 29 to 23000cm<3> or less, the volume of the shade 29 can adequately be specified from thermal influence when the circular fluorescent lamp 1 is used. |
