摘要 PURPOSE: To realize the image adjustment method adjusting precisely image density in a multi-color image forming device. CONSTITUTION: A test pattern is formed on a latent image carrier by using the latent image carrier, a charge means for the latent image carrier and an exposure means for the latent image carrier provided in the multi-color image forming device (1001), after its contrast potential is stored and the test pattern is transposed and fixed on paper and an image read means reads the test pattern on the paper (1003), density information is obtained, a discrimination means discriminates the test pattern and a correction means to correct a gamma coefficient at image forming in response to the discrimination result of the discrimination means is used, a contrast potential corresponding to a desired object density is obtained for each color of the multi-image color (1005) and the correction amount of the gamma coefficient is decided based on the object density and the contrast potential (1006-1011).
