PURPOSE: To make it possible to install a display in a position where the display light of a transparent planar body is made incident at angles exclusive of a Brewster angle by forming the front and rear surfaces of at least the part where this display light is illuminated to a non-parallel shape. CONSTITUTION: The display light of driving information, such as speed, is polarized to an S wave by an S polarizing plate 4 which allows the transmission of only the S wave when this light is emitted from the display 3. The transparent planar body 2 is irradiated with this light at an incident angleθ1 of 66 deg. and is reflected at an exit angleθ2 of 66 deg. at its front surface. The reflected light arrives at the driver's eyes 5 and the driving information is visually recognized. On the other hand, the incident light on the 'inside of the plate without being reflected by the front surface of the transparent planar body 2 is polarized to a P wave by a polarization direction adjusting film 1 of the back surface. This P wave is emitted into the air but the exit angleθ3 is the Brewster angle and, therefore, the light which is reflected from this back surface and further advances toward the driver is completely zero. The driver views the information only by the reflection on the front surface of the transparent planar body 2 and does not, therefore, view the double images.
