PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method of high temperature solid electrolyte fuel cell by which large output is obtained. CONSTITUTION: After gelatinizing and drying a solution composition composed of a zirconium alkoxide, a hydrate of an yttrium nitrate and first and second solvents, it is pulverized. After obtained powder is temporarily baked at 100 to 700 deg.C, it is pulverized, and yttria-containing zirconia powder is obtained. A paint film is formed on a porous electrode 1 or 4 by a paint film forming composition containing the powder, and it is baked, and a backing layer 2 composed of yttria stabilizing zirconia is formed. A paint film is formed on the backing layer 2 by the solution composition, and it is dried and baked, and a dense solid electrolyte film 3 composed of yttria stabilizing zirconia is formed. The backing layer 2 is formed by spraying of a suspension by dispersing YZ powder in an alcohol type solvent or dripping, soaking and electrodeposition of a suspension by dispersing the suspension or the YZ powder in sol of the solution composition. It is also formed by application of a paste-like substance by dispersing YZ powder in turpentine oil. |
