PURPOSE: To obtain a TAISHO harp providing a good sense of playing by arranging the axial lines of respective take-up shafts on a slope intersecting at prescribed angles with the respective strings spanned between pillows and bridges, thereby constituting a take-up means. CONSTITUTION: The take-up means 12 is constituted by setting the strings 50A to 50C extending to the respective take-up shafts 13 (13A to 13C) from the pillows 42 in such a manner that the differences in the anglesθ1 toθ3 with the strings 34 spanned between the pillows 42 and the bridges are made smaller than the differences in the angles of the strings of the conventional TAISHO harps. A chamfered part 20 is formed in correspondence to the arranging form of the respective take-up shafts 13 of the take-up means 12. Namely, the chamfered part 20 is set at, for example, 7 deg. with the angle of inclination to the base of the body 11. The differences between the anglesθ1 toθ3 are smaller than the differences in the angles of the conventional TAISHO harps according to this TAISHO harp 10. Even if, therefore, the respective strings 34 of the TAISHO harp 10 are simultaneously played, the differences in the elastic sensation by each of the strings 34 to, for example, picks, etc., are relatively decreased as compared with the conventional TAISHO harps and a sense of incongruity is lessened in case of playing.
