INSPECTION ASSISTING SYSTEM FOR WIRE HARNESS

PURPOSE: To realize quick and accurate inspection by specifying a wire harness to be inspected depending on the input of inspection preparation signal and designating the corresponding content of each inspection item at a corresponding time interval to a worker by voice. CONSTITUTION: A production line 1 is provided with templates 3-8 coupled with a moving body on a conveyor 2 and a wire harness is assembled on the assembly line on the templates 3-8 and inspected. A bar code reader 13 detects the brightness at a reading part through a photoelectric sensor and when a bar code passes through the reader 13 as the templates 3-8 move, it is read out based on the time interval of variation in the pattern thereof and a signal is delivered to a central control unit 14. A proximity switch 12 is disposed closely to the conveyor 2. When the wire harness is carried on the templates 3-8 to an inspection process, the contents of inspection is designated automatically through a speaker 10 and a corresponding content of inspection item is designated to a worker at a corresponding time interval.
