PURPOSE: To make a cursor position in selection display mode and the character, etc., specified with it, easily visible on the tape printer which is equipped with the selection display mode wherein many characters, symbols, etc., are displayed together at a time and one among them is selected and inputted with a cursor and displays only half-sized characters. CONSTITUTION: In the selection display mode of the tap printer, a group of symbols displayed on the display screen of a liquid crystal display unit are of half size. Two half-size spaces are allocated to the part of an object symbol specified with the cursor C, and an object character is displayed int he center of the spaces in a half-size state. Therefore, spaces of quarter size are left on the right and left sides of the object symbol, so the cursor position can be found at a glance. Further, the object character is displayed not in a reverse state, so the object character is also easy to be seen. |
