PURPOSE: To provide an air conditioner in which the problem of compressor noise in an indoor unit is eliminated. CONSTITUTION: A compressor 1 and a four-way valve 2 are provided together with an indoor heat exchanger 9 and an indoor blower 12 in an indoor unit A. A capillary tube 6 is provided together with an outdoor heat exchanger 5 and an outdoor blower 11 in an outdoor unit B. The higher the number of revolutions of the blower 12 is, the higher the allowable maximum operating frequency Fmax corresponding to the upper limit of the number of revolutions of the compressor 1 is raised. Or, the allowable minimum chopping frequency Fxmin corresponding to the lower limit of the number of revolutions of the compressor 1 is set to high at the side where the number of revolutions of the blower 12 is low, and the lower the set value Fxmin is lowered, the higher the number of revolutions of the blower 12 becomes. |
