A tray device particularly suitable for preparing sauces and seasonings for food consists of a tray with handles for picking it up, a central recess (31) and peripheral recesses (30) arranged around the central recess (31) for receiving receptacles (6) containing sauce ingredients, and containers (8) each designed to contain a sauce made with the ingredients in said receptacles (6). Said containers (8) are arranged in the central recess (31) and provided on the outer surface (80, 81) with at least one series of graduations (82, 83) indicating the volume of the mixture to be prepared for a given number of people.
