PURPOSE: To provide a self-holding type multi-functional optical switch whose production is easy and which has high functionality. CONSTITUTION: In a multi-functional optical switch making an input light from an input side optical fiber 5-1 transmit to make it input to a transmission side optical fiber 5-2 or making the input light reflect to make input it to a reflection side optical fiber 5-3, this switch is provided with a freely rotatable permanent magnet plate 7 on which a turning axis 8 is provided at the outside of the optical path L1 of the input light, a reflection mirror 7m formed on the permanent magnet plate 7, a transmission side electromagnet 9-1 for holding the permanent magnet plate 7 and the reflection mirror 7m at the outside of the optical path L1 and a reflection side electromagnet 9-2 for making the input light relfect with the reflection mirror 7m while turning the permanent magnet plate 7 to make it input to the reflection side optical fiber 5-3. |
