Projections for increasing the exchange surface area consist of raised features inscribed on the shells of the filling bodies, which raised features all have an axis of symmetry passing through the center of symmetry of their base and through the center of the filling body. The bases of the raised features are all equal and identical and the raised features are uniformly distributed over the entire surface of the shell. |
