LINEAR EXPANDER FOR THE PROGRESSIVE CORRECTION OF CRANIOFACIAL DEFORMATIONS

The linear expander for the progressive correction of craniofacial deformations comprises two elements which are longitudinally displaceable between each other, impulsed by an actuation element arranged between them and which are intended to displace mutually the parts of the tissues to which they are applied, through the injection of a fluid. The expander further comprises an inflatable element made of flexible and elastic material which actuates a movable element adapted to cause the separation of the bone tissues to which it is applied from the rest of the bone tissues anchored to the fixed element of the expander. Said movable element has its free end shaped like a hook so as to be applied under the edge of the portion of the bone tissues which is opposite to the portion where is anchored the fixed element which may also have a similar hook.
