PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid compsn. capable of obtaining an image high in image density, excellent in the fixing properties on paper and character grade, suppressed in bleeding and excellent in water resistance by together using a specific cationic fluorine type surfactant and a polymeric substance in a liquid medium. CONSTITUTION: A liquid compsn. is constituted by together using a cationic fluorine type surfactant represented by either one of formulae I, II (wherein Rf is a fluorocarbon group wherein hydrogen atoms in a 4-12C alkyl group are partially or wholly substituted with fluorine, R1 -R2 are hydrogen or a 1-3C alkyl group and HX is halogen acid or a halogen acid radical) and a polymeric substance in a liquid medium. The liquid compsn. and yellow, magenta or cyan ink are combined to constitute an ink set. An image is formed by a process bonding the liquid compsn. to a recording medium and a process applying ink containing an anionic compd. to the recording medium by an ink jet system. |
