PURPOSE: To enhance the surface cleaning properties of an ink sheet, in a thermal transfer recording apparatus transferring the ink of the ink sheet to a recording medium by a thermal head to perform recording, by providing an ink sheet cleaning means composed of a flexible member so as to cover the surface part of an ink sheet supply roller. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning sheet 1 is composed of a sheet member having length almost coinciding with the width dimension of a ink sheet and having function removing dust and attached on the side housing and holding the ink sheet supply roller 41 of an ink sheet cassette 40. At the time of the setting of the cassette 40 to a recording apparatus main body 6, the cleaning sheet 1 covers the surface part of the supply roller 41. By this constitution, when the ink sheet 4 is fed to a taking-up roller 42 from the supply roller 41 through a thermal head 21, the dust on the contact surface of the ink sheet 4 with recording paper 5 is removed by the cleaning sheet 1. |
