PURPOSE: To provide an air bag device in which a trouble given to the air bag in its inflating time can be prevented, even though a locking projection for air bag locking which is formed by a press work having little working energy is provided to a retainer, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced by suppressing the working energy of the retainer. CONSTITUTION: A bag holder 3, a retainer 6, and an air bag 1 are assembled integrally by a bolt 8 extending from the retainer 6 made of a sheet metal, and a nut 10. At plural positions on the peripheral edge of the opening 1a of the air bag 1, locking holes 1c are formed. A locking projection 9 inserted to a locking hole 4c provided in a bag holder 3 after penetrating the air bag locking hole 1c is formed to the retainer 6. Each locking projection 9 is formed by cutting up from the main body 7 of the retainer 6 as a half-cutting cylinderical form to arrange a peripheral wall 9a at the center side of the air bag opening 1a. |
