<p>PURPOSE: To provide a blast furnace operation method of stabilizing the operation by maintaining the lower section of the blast furnace in a sound state. CONSTITUTION: Central charging of a part of charge coke and central charge of metallic iron sources (reduced iron, scrap, mold pig iron, etc.) in place of a part of iron source raw materials are executed prior to ordinary charging of coke and/or iron source raw materials into the blast furnace 1. Gaseous hydrocarbon and/or the liquid is blown into the coke descending in a furnace central part region 6 of 1 to 5m perpendicularly downward from the surface layer level on the central axis of the uppermost layer of the charge in the blast furnace 1. The hydrocarbon liquid is previously adhered to the coke charged at the center and may be charged at the center as well. As the result, the furnace core coke layer may be composed of the coke which is free from powdering by wear and deterioration by reaction. The heat exchange with the gases generate in raceways and the high-temp. molten iron is accelerated. Accordingly, the air permeability and liquid permeability of the furnace core layer are improved and the furnace condition are stabilized.</p> |
