<p>PURPOSE: To suppress rotational fluctuation of a camshaft by forming one of intake and exhaust ports formed on every cylinder, on two ports of each cylinder, and overlapping an opening period of the port which has a delayed opening timing with that of the port which has an advanced opening timing of the cylinder to be ignited in next order. CONSTITUTION: In each of cylinders 2a to 2d of a multicylinder engine, an intake port 3 and an exhaust port 4 are formed. The exhaust port 4 is formed by first and second ports 4a, 4b each formed with exhaust valves 6a, 6b. With respect to an opening/closing timing of the exhaust valve 4, for instance, the opening/closing timing of the first and second ports 4a, 4b of the first cylinder 2a, an opening period of the second port 4b of the first cylinder 1 is overlapped with the first ports 4b of the first cylinder and the third cylinder to be ignited next. An exhaust side camshaft 8 always pressurizes at least one of the exhaust valves 6a, 6b, for remarkably reduce its rotational fluctuation.</p> |
