PURPOSE: To obtain a composition used for producing a roller brought into contact with a photosensitive body provided in an electrophotographic machine or a printer for use for imparting a lower hardness to the roller. CONSTITUTION: A composition for a roller is provided with a foamed elastic body layer containing (A) a curing agent having at least two hydrosilyl groups in one molecule, (B) a polymer having at least one alkenyl group at an end of a molecule and a repeated unit of a satd. hydrocarbon- or oxyalkylene-based unit forming a main chain, (C) a hydrosililation catalyst, and (D) an electrical conductivity-imparting substance. A roller is produced using the composition for a roller.
