PURPOSE: To reduce noise produced by the blowing means of a laser printer and to surely cool a heating part. CONSTITUTION: The rotor 43 of a motor for rotating the scanning mirror 29 of a scanning means 28 is enveloped in a cover 45. An air inflow port 46 and an air outflow port 47 are formed at the side surface part of the cover 45. Space in the vicinity of the ports 46 and 47 is divided by an air current separating member 48. One end of the member 48 comes close to the rotor 43 and the other end and the side end thereof are connected to the cover 45. The member 48 takes and separates a rotating air current 51 generated around the rotor 43 near the port 47, and generates and exhausts a discharge air current 53 to the outside of the cover 45. Then, a suction air current 54 is sucked from the port 46 to the inside of the cover 45, which is in a negative pressure state, and the rotating air current 51 is generated. |
