PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improve device, by which optical fibers are aligned mutually, and an optical device using it. SOLUTION: An optical fiber alignment device is provided with an upper plate 112 and a lower plate 102, which is provided with alignment grooves 104 complying with optical fibers 105-107 individually, and alignment grooves 104 are arranged so that the optical fibers 105-107 are pressed to the bottoms of the alignment grooves 104 by means of the upper plate 112 so as to occupy the predetermined positions mutually. The optical fiber alignment device is also provided with a means fastening the upper plate 112 and the lower plate 102 together so that the optical fibers 105-107 are pressed onto the alignment grooves 104. Using this optical fiber alignment device, an optical signal converting device of an optical amplifier can be improved. |
