PURPOSE: To reduce the polarization resistance of a fuel electrode so as to provide a SOFC having excellent power generating performance by promoting supply of oxygen ions to a three-phase interface serving as an electrode reaction field for the fuel electrode so as to activate an electrode reaction. CONSTITUTION: In a solid electrolyte type fuel cell, a fuel electrode is arranged on one side face of a solid electrolyte while an air electrode is arranged on the other face. Between the solid electrolyte and the fuel electrode, an interface layer consisting of a mixture of at least one metal or metal alloy, which is selected from metals in the 8th, the 9th, and the 10th groups of the periodic table and their alloys, and oxygen ion conductive oxide with an oxygen ion conductivity of 0.2S/cm or more at a temperate of 1000 deg.C is formed. |
