PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine the advantages of fluorescent lamps with versatility inherent in halogen incandescent light sources so as to provide an effective illumination by providing dim light, center-focused light, and a frigid weather illumination effect. SOLUTION: A plurality of small fluorescent annular lamps 3 are arranged in complementary concentric fashion about a miniature tungsten-halogen light source 7. All of the fluorescent lamps 3 are combined with appropriate reflecting portions 2, 26 in a single assembly with controls 5 therein. The fluorescent annular lamps 3 are triangular or igloo-shaped 3 in cross section and the reflecting portions 2, 26 reflect light from the base 11 of the lamps 3. This arrangement allows concentration of light for aesthetic or functional purpose and provides an effective illumination. |
