PURPOSE: To eliminate necessity of a signal oil chamber, minimize a device, and reduce the cost by setting the first oil path to the one not to be supplied an oil pressure in the case when selected a retreat range, in such a device that a control valve for intermitting the second oil path and a retreat stage prohibition valve are controlled by a signal oil pressure control valve. CONSTITUTION: Bypass oil paths 18, 19 where a timing valve (a control valve) 20 is interposed are provided so as to bypass an orifice 16 which is provided for reducing shift shock of a clutch pressure oil path 12. When a retreat range is selected in error during driving, a retreat stage prohibition valve 36 is switched to the side which shuts off supply of the retreat range pressure to a frictional element 32 by a signal oil pressure control valve 22 so as to prevent the gear from shifting to the retreat stage in forward driving. Then, oil pressure supply to the first oil path 18 is shut off so that the oil pressure is not supplied to the second oil path 19 despite of a switching position of the timing valve 20 and the clutch 12 is in a disengaged state. |
