PURPOSE: To select a video most suitable for use environment of an animation reproducing device by reproducing the video of a specified category different from the category proper to a playing music as a background image. CONSTITUTION: A CPU of a disk player 30 ignores the category of the background image specified to second to fifth switches 52a-52d of a dip switch 54 when a category selection switch 50 is held to OFF. Then, when an up-tempo pop is requested, and the category data corresponding to a C category are received, the CPU fixes the category proper to a piece of music to the C category, and reproduces the video becoming the background corresponding to the C category. Further, when a user turns the category selection switch 50 on ON, the CPU ignores the category proper to the piece of music corresponding to the received C category, it awaits a reproducing video, a table for AB category being the video for e.g. a popular balled with melody of traditional Japanese type. Then, it reproduces the video becoming the background corresponding to the AB category. |
