PURPOSE: To provide a key device for the door easily installable to a doorway by housing a reader inside the handle of a door. CONSTITUTION: The reader 5 is housed inside a handle 4 of the door 1. Then, judgement information which is the identification information of a person who is allowed to pass through the doorway and conditions for judgement which are the time and dates when the person is allowed to pass through are stored. When a transponder 7 approaches the reader 5 by the approach of a carrier to the doorway, the transponder 7 receives inquiry signals and transmits the identification information. The reader 5 outputs unlock permission signals only when the obtained identification information matches with the judgement information and the time and date when the identification information is obtained match with the conditions for judgement. Then, corresponding to the unlock permission signals, an electric lock unlocks the door 1. |
