PURPOSE: To reduce the failure rate by providing one nonvolatile memory device and one volatile memory device and adding a circuit part, which detects and corrects the error of contents of each memory device, and a software part for control of this circuit part. CONSTITUTION: Desired data is first read out from a non-volatile memory device 1 and is written in a volatile memory device 2. Thereafter, data transferred in this manner is quickly processed on a volatile memory device 2, and the error detection processing is performed in an error detector 6. If error is not detected, data is supplied to the volatile memory device by a processing continuation signal; but if error is detected, the correction processing is performed in an error corrector 7, and data is sent back to the non-volatile memory device 1, and data is subjected to rewrite processing, and correct data is supplied to the volatile memory device 2. |
