PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug assembly, wherein some electric signal is generated before the withdrawal from an assembly holder and therefore the specified switching step is performed. SOLUTION: In the inserting and withdrawing device for inserting a device- equipped plug assembly 1 into an assembly holder, a plunger 24 is provided for actuating a microswitch 12 arranged in a supporting stage 4 of the plug assembly 1. A space 37 is provided between a compressing type part 36 of a turning lever 5 and a front surface 38 of a section member 7. The space 38 enables the switching step of the microswitch before the separation of a plug connector 6.
