The device is installed under a jogging conveyor between two retaining walls through which screws are driven to hold the armature (8) of the electromagnet. The coil (7) is wound on a U-section core (6) separated by an air gap (8a) from the armature, to which a stack of leaf springs (10) is screwed (9). The armature is embedded in an elongated holder (12) projecting beyond its ends with four threaded holes (13) opposite those in the retaining walls. These overlap the air gap so that no contamination can enter it.
