FIELD: railway transport; automatic car axle box heating control systems. SUBSTANCE: device can be used on cars with floor members on background of which axle boxes are inspected and on cars without floor members in axle box unit area (cars with defective bottoms, shortened base) in which axle box units are inspected on background of sky. Method of inspection comes to conversion of infrared radiation into electric heat signal with subsequent amplification of signal, limiting signal amplitude formed by getting of sky background into infrared radiation detector, setting zero potential directly before inspection of axle box unit, measuring excess of signal amplitude of axle box unit inspected on background of sky over limited amplitude of signal from sky background. Heating of axle box unit is judged by level of excess. Device has amplitude limiter whose input is connected with output of receiving capsule and output, with input of zero level detector. Amplitude limiter limits signal amplitude formed by sky background getting into infrared radiation detector. Follow-up amplitude limiter unit has limiter, series-connected amplifier, half-wave rectifier, analyzer, repeater and inverter. Inverter output is connected with control input of limiter, and amplifier output is connected with input of limiter. When inspecting axle box units on background of floor members, heat signal is not limited in amplitude limiter, and algorithm of operation of device is the same as in prototype. EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of axle box unit heating temperature level. |
