Overload-protected energising circuit for electric load linked to load switch in e.g. steering control appts. in motor vehicle

The circuit contains an electronic load switch (T). The output of an operational amplifier (OV) is coupled to the control input of the electronic load switch. A constant potential is applied to the non-inverting input of the amplifier. The potential of a point (V) at the local switch and electric load (L) is supplied to the amplifier inverting input. The electric load is controlled by a potential also applied to the amplifier inverting input. Pref. a voltage divider (R1,2) determines the constant potential at the amplifier non-inverting input. Both amplifier inputs may be earthed via a capacitor (C1,2) for each one.
