An apparatus and a method for controlling the store image of an image display device are provided to generate a time-shifted contents list, display the generated time-shifted contents list in a summary, a list, or an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) format, and reproduce a corresponding program, thereby shortening time required to search time-shifted contents and move a desired location of the time-shifted contents. A user interface receives a desired command from a user, and a contents generation unit(200) generates a contents list time-shifted from broadcasting information received through a tuner(100) according to a time shift command inputted through the user interface. A storage medium(400) stores the list generated through the contents generation unit and a time-shifted broadcasting signal. A display unit(500) displays the time-shifted contents list stored in the storage medium by a user request command inputted through the user interface according to user's request in various forms. A control unit(300) controls the location movement and reproduction of a corresponding program if a desired program is selected by a user in the time-shifted contents list displayed on the display unit. |
