allowing an on-hook/off-hook program and a menu mode program to reside in a RAM of a personal computer; converting to a call possible state by making the transmitter/receiver off-hook on the ground of the on-hook/off-hook program when a first hot key is inputted; converting the phone into the call-end state by making the transmitter/receiver off-hook on the ground of the on-hook/off-hook program when a second hot key is inputted; displaying a data transmitting/receiving mode menu in a monitor on the ground of the menu mode program when a third hot key is inputted; receiving data inputted from a telephone network by executing a data receiving program when the receiving mode is selected; and transmitting data to the telephone network when the transmitting mode is selected.
