Fuel delivery unit with reservoir pot, for use in motor vehicles

The unit is fitted to the fuel tank of a motor vehicle, and has a reservoir pot (4) and sealing lid (2). These are made from a synthetic material using an injection moulding process. The lid is connected to the pot by screws. The lid has a wall (11) with clip attachments (13) which engage over the wall (12) of the pot. The latter wall is rigid, and can withstand the supporting moment for the screw connection. The use of hook attachments on the lid, in order to engage with slits in the wall of the pot, is also discussed.
