METHOD OF ISOLATING ALKENES

FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon stream is subjected to cracking process producing hot gas stream, which is compressed and cooled to condense almost all hydrocarbons contained in the stream. Noncondensed part of stream containing mainly hydrogen and C-C- hydrocarbons is subjected to adsorption process using pressure or temperature difference within the range of temperature from 0 to 250 C in adsorbent bed, which selectively adsorbs practically all amount of ethylene and propylene available in gas stream. These hydrocarbon are isolated upon regeneration of adsorbent bed. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.
