The device comprises a component for separating one end of a bundle (11) containing a predetermined number of objects from the remainder of the objects (12) so that a gap between the bundle end and the corresponding ends of adjoining objects is formed. Components (I-IX) successively widen this gap along the length of the bundle. These components consist of a row of separate rotatable components extending in the longitudinal direction of the objects. During a part of the rotary movement of the rotatable components they have components located above the plane of the bearers (10) supporting the objects. The rotatable components are so arranged and rotatively driven that those in the row successively penetrate the gap between the bundle and the remainder of the objects and widen the gap. |
