PURPOSE: To provide a fluorescence detecting method capable of concurrently distinguishing the signals from DNA fragments marked in many colors with high accuracy and measuring them for high-accuracy separation and detection or base sequence determination. CONSTITUTION: A sample marked with different phosphors is migration-separated by a gel electrophoresis separation section 2 having multiple migration paths, then a laser beam 4 is radiated for detection. The laser beam 4 is radiated at the prescribed positions from the migration start points on multiple migration paths, a luminescent linear image (fluorescent image) is formed on the optical path of the laser beam 4, it is image-split by a mirror 5 to form many virtual images displaced with each other, multiple virtual images of the luminescent linear image are wavelength-selected by a band-pass filter 8, then they are spatially separated by a two-dimensional detector 9 for detection. |
