Mobile communications system radio channel testing system

The channel testing system uses a testing unit (TU) coupled to the mobile communications device (MTD) for providing test data (STDS), transmitted to the base station (BSD) via a useful information field. The received test data is compared with test data provided by a control unit (RU) coupled to the base station, the obtained results used to indicate the transmission error rate and combined with the transmission parameters for determining the transmission quality of each radio channel.
