Title cpds. (most of them novel) are represented by the formulae: (in which R is H or acetyl; R' is H or CH3; R2 is H, CH3 or C6H5 and R3 is H or CH3 if R4 is H or acetyl; if R4 represents gp. -(CH2)2-C(O)-CH3, R2 and R3 represent H; broken lines in (I) show possible positions of one double bond). These cpds. cover a wide range of scents, (flowery, fruity), and are capable of enhancing or modifying other scents.
