Controlling vibratory compacting system for compacting moulding materials in mould boxes

By means of appropriate sensors, measured values of the impact velocity and/or impact acceleration and/or air gap are obtained and processed; these quantities are controlled to adjust them to given target values. The drive unit is provided with an out-of-balance mass, and at least one speed-controllable motor. Control is achieved by motor speed variation. Also claimed independently is a method based on measurement and processing of a vibration phase angle.
