PURPOSE: To provide a method capable of effectively preventing an urinary infection in a patient using an urine guiding set, and the inside infection, in a medial worker at the work for removing the urine from the urine guiding set with a method never increasing a burden on the medical worker. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing urinary infection comprises inserting an antibacterial agent containing an antibacterial metal into an urine collecting bag constituting a part of an urine guiding set. Of the urine guiding set, the antibacterial agent is inserted to the urine collecting bag which is the inflow port of bacteria and the storing part of urine where bacteria are easily propagated, whereby the number of bacteria in urine is suppressed. As the antibacterial agent, an antibacterial agent containing an antibacterial metal is used, whereby the effect is continued for a long period, compared with an organic disinfectant, so that the contamination prevention and management of the urine collecting bag by a medical worker are facilitated. |
