PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner of thin type with narrow clearance between a filter and an air suction port of an air blower by changing a shape of the filter. SOLUTION: In the air cleaner having an air cleaning filter 5 in an oblong shape with a dust-collection filter 5a and a deodorant filter 5b arranged in front and in the rear in an air path 4 for connecting an air suction port 2 and an air blow port 3 formed at a body casing 1, and an air blower 6 arranged at the leeward side of the air filter, as at least the filter arranged at the leeward side is formed to be pleated, and the clearance between the air cleaning filter and the suction port of the air blower is made to be from 20 to 35 mm, the air cleaner can be made thin without decreasing ventilation volume and deteriorating the air cleaning efficiency. |
