<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a water-base dispersion of colored fine particles which has excellent characteristics as a recording material, giving a high-quality record, by compounding fine particles made mainly from a polyester resin colored by a hydrophobic dye with fine hollow synthetic resin particles. CONSTITUTION: This dispersion contains 0.1-40wt.% fine particles made mainly from a polyester resin colored with a dye insol. or hardly sol. in water and sol. in an org. solvent and 0.5-15wt.% fine hollow synthetic resin particles having an average outer diameter of 0.1-2.0μm and having hollows inside. Pref. the hollows inside the hollow particles are filled with water, more correctly filled with a water-base dispersion medium for an ink jet ink. The hollow particles are pref. nonswellable with a lower alcohol and/or an alkylene glycol and/or an alkanolamine which is a water-sol. org. compd. used as an ink additive.</p> |
