PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle controller whereby an intersection district is controlled based on controlled variable which is peculiar to a route and also stably fits the route and prediction control is surely executed. CONSTITUTION: The longer a distance between the intersections is and the higher the limit speed of a road between the intersections, a speed change diagram is more changed as controlled variable where a speed change point is shifted to a high speed side based on a table indicating the change quantity and the direction of the speed change diagram. Speed change is controlled by the controller 2 of an automatic speed change machine based on the speed change diagram. Therefore, when the intersection district is short and the vehicle stops after little distance after start, for example, large acceleration is not required so that speed to be changed-over from a low speed gear to the high speed one in a speed change gear is made to be lower speed. So, the vehicle is driven by the high gear in result in the district as a whole so that fuel consumption quantity is reduced. |
