CLAMP END OF STEEL-CORE ALUMINUM STRANDED CABLE AND FORMATION THEREOF

PURPOSE: To provide a lamp end of a steel-core aluminum stranded cable which allows the cable with a clamp being mounted to pass through a metallic wheel or drawing a cable and also provide a method for forming the clamp end. CONSTITUTION: A strand of an aluminum stranded cable 11 at the end of a steel-core aluminum stranded cable 10 is untwisted and a steel clamp 13 is mounted on the steel standed cable 12. An aluminum filler 14 which has metallic or ceramic particles 16a scattered on its surface is inserted between element wires 11a of the aluminum stranded cable 10 and then the aluminum stranded cable 10 is twined around the steel clamp 13. After that, the steel clamp 13 is covered with aluminum or aluminum alloy steeve 17 and then is compressed.
