<p>PURPOSE: To control the valve timing infinitely and improve the control-response capability of the valve timing to improve the engine performance. CONSTITUTION: A control mechanism connecting a driving shaft to a cam shaft is moved coaxially, eccentrically through a drive mechanism to change the angular speed of the cam shaft to control the operating angle of an intake valve. First to fourth supply holes 66a, etc., respectively communicated with oil pressure chambers are drilled on the cylindrical wall 50a of a rotary vane 50 of the drive mechanism at axially specified intervals and at about 180 degrees opposite positions, and supply passage-holes 79, 80 selectively communicated with the respective supply holes 66a, etc., and 67a, etc., are formed respectively on the peripheral wall of a rotary valve 72 depending on the rotational position.</p> |
