摘要 PURPOSE: To improve quantization performances in transient parts of an input signal by calculating a normalization coefficient by using first input vectors of a present frame and normalizing the gain multiplied to the first input vectors. CONSTITUTION: Input vectors Cx, Cy inputted to terminals P1, P2 are multiplied by a gain Gy to be inputted to a terminal P3 in gain circuits 11, 12 and then superimposed each other in an adder 13 to become an output vector Cz and then the vector is outputted from an output terminal P5. Besides, the vectors Cx, Cy are also inputted to a normalization coefficient calculating part 14 and a normalization coefficient Ny is calculated in the part. Then, the inputted gain Gy is normalized based on the normalization coefficient Ny in a normalization part 15 to be outputted from a terminal P4 as a normalized gain Ly. After the normalized gain Ly is quantized as necessary, the quantized gain Ly is transmitted to a transmission medium or is stored in a storage medium. Thus, the accuracy of the gain quantization is improved.
